With Mate Series CNC milling machines, non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass, as well as plastics and composite materials like POM, castamide, plexiglass, polycarbonate, polyethylene, PEEK, carbon fiber, and Alucore can be milled.
Yes. Even the hardest aluminum alloys, such as the 7000 and 2000 series, can be easily machined with REVO MATE.
REVO MATE milling machines are ideal for rapid prototyping and both low- and high-volume production in all R&D environments. Industries that frequently use non-ferrous metals and plastics—such as aerospace, defense, automotive, IT, electronics, and medical—can greatly benefit.
Precision depends on the requirements of the task. REVO MATE operates with a maximum error of 0.025 mm over 300 mm. If this tolerance meets your needs, REVO MATE is precise enough for aluminum mold machining.
Additionally, you can request our Mate400 Plus model with a SINUMERIK ONE control unit, particularly suitable for producing molds with organic surfaces requiring superior surface quality and accuracy.
Yes. Thanks to its low-vibration frame and precision hardware, REVO MATE is suitable for PCB machining.
When used with a vacuum table, the PCB remains perfectly flat, eliminating problems caused by board warping.
REVO MATE cannot perform roughing or drilling operations on steel, titanium, or inconel. However, engraving and marking on these materials is possible.
Vertical machining centers are designed to process very hard metals like stainless steel and titanium, as well as massive workpieces weighing hundreds of kilograms. They achieve this with extremely heavy frames, large drive systems, and powerful motors. For machining large steel or aluminum blocks—such as aircraft landing gear or automotive rims—vertical machining centers are indispensable.
However, for smaller, precise, or thin plate-shaped materials like aluminum and plastics, most vertical machining centers are oversized and inefficient. Aluminum and plastics require very high spindle speeds, whereas vertical machining centers designed for steel usually run at only 8,000–10,000 rpm, resulting in poor efficiency. Moreover, vertical machining centers are heavy, space-demanding, energy-hungry, costly to maintain, and unsuitable for offices, garages, or small workshops.
In contrast, REVO MATE offers many advantages: a spindle motor running up to 60,000 rpm, lightweight portability, compact footprint, low maintenance and operating costs, and operator-free operation.
If you mostly work with aluminum and plastics, and your parts are within 500 × 400 mm and 25 kg (50 kg for the Plus model), there is little reason to invest in a vertical machining center.
3D printers are often more practical than CNC mills. However, when it comes to working with real materials, 3D printers usually fall short. With CNC mills, you can machine almost any material, whereas most 3D printers only produce model-grade parts. Industrial 3D printers capable of printing with various materials at high quality cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
If you only need a visual model of your final product, a 3D printer may suffice. But if you want to work with aluminum, brass, copper, wood, or plastics and create smooth, transparent (when required), durable prototypes resembling final products, REVO MATE is the right choice. Beyond prototyping, REVO MATE can also produce your final product.

REVO MATE features an aluminum cast body, while the Mate400 Plus has a cast iron body. Both have precision linear guides and ball screws on all axes.
No. REVO MATE uses a direct-drive servo motor system on all axes. There are no belts, pulleys, or gearboxes that could introduce backlash. Motors are directly coupled to the precision ball screws with precision couplings.
Yes. If interrupted, REVO MATE remembers the last position and resumes from there. You may also intentionally pause long jobs and continue later.
REVO MATE comes with two spindle options:
- Manual tool-change version (ER16 collet system): up to 10 mm tool diameter.
- Automatic tool-change version with direct tool holder: cutters with 8 mm shank diameter (up to 12 mm cutting diameter).
No. The machine is controlled via its built-in 15” touchscreen. The Plus model offers a 19” SINUMERIK ONE screen with MCP.
REVO MATE is compatible with all major CAD/CAM software, including Autodesk Fusion, SolidCAM, Mastercam, PowerMill, Aspire, and Artcam.
Yes. REVO MATE supports both part probing and auto tool zero systems, available upon request. In the Mate400 Plus, auto tool zero is included as standard.
Yes. A 4th axis module with a 100 mm chuck can be added anytime, even if you initially purchase the 3-axis machine.
REVO MATE has a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects and 3 years of spare parts support. On-site or in-house service is provided if remote assistance is insufficient.
Yes. REVO MATE fits through all standard 80 cm doors and operates on single phase 230 V power. Its fully enclosed cabin keeps noise below that of a typical vacuum cleaner, providing a safe, chip-free working environment.
No. Simply plug in the power cable and switch on. REVO MATE is ready within 10 seconds. Optional accessories (automatic tool changer, dust extraction, vacuum table, mist cooling) require external systems like a compressor or vacuum pump.
Yes. REVO MATE features a mist cooling system that mixes a small amount of coolant with compressed air to cool both the tool and workpiece. Alcohol-based coolants are used, providing a cleaner, eco-friendly, and lower-maintenance solution compared to oil- or water-based systems. Our mist cooling system requires 6–8 bar clean, dry air.
Both options are supported. REVO MATE works with CAM software as well as traditional manual programming. CAM is generally faster and safer.
Yes. With proper maintenance, REVO MATE is suitable for 24/7 operation.
After testing, the machine is shipped in a palletized wooden crate. Thanks to its plug-and-play design, no additional installation is required. Delivered with user manuals and operating instructions. Our technical team is ready to support you throughout the process.
Yes. The REVO MATE control panel is much simpler than conventional CNC milling panels. Documentation and training videos are provided with the machine. On-site training can also be arranged upon request.
